Westchester County Martial Arts Ground Grappling: A Brief Explanation

Grappling is the art of osae-komi waza, which is Judo ground grappling. Judo was invented by Professor Jigoro Kano in 1882 as a sport dedicated to the art of grappling, which includes throwing, choking and hold-downs.
In this class students will learn various chokes, arm-locks and hold-downs used in Judo competitions. Most of the techniques are done on the ground and require very little strength.
